Antonio de Padua Mansur

Antonio P. Mansur was born in Moji-Mirim, São Paulo, Brazil, in 1956. He graduated in medicine, at Ribeirão Preto Medical School, University of São Paulo (1980) and received the Ph.D. degree from the Clinical Emergency Department at Hospital of Clinics of the University of São Paulo Medical School in 1999. He served as an Assistant Physician and as a Researcher at Chronic Coronary Disease Unit at the Heart Institute (1984-2002) and as the Director of Emergency (2002-2007) at the Heart Institute (InCor). Presently, he works as an Associate Professor at the University of São Paulo Medical School and as the Director of the Clinical Unit of Cardiology in Elderly and in Women at InCor. He has experience in medicine with emphasis on cardiology, acting on the following subjects: chronic coronary artery disease, acute coronary syndrome, emergency, epidemiology of cardiovascular disease and cardiovascular disease in elderly and in women. He acted as an Investigator in many multicenter international clinical trials of phase III and IV of drug efficacy and safety. He has several scientific international and national papers and served as an Editor of two books. He is an Ad Hoc Reviewer of many journals. He is a Member of the Brazilian Medical Societies (Cardiology, Internal Medicine, and Emergency Medicine).
