Brajesh Kumar has been working as a Prometeo Researcher at Centro de Nanociencia y Nanotecnologia, Universidad de las Fuerzas Armadas ESPE, Quito, Ecuador, since May 2013. He completed his Ph.D. degree studies entitled “Design and synthesis of bioactive peptides” in September 2009 from the University of Delhi, Delhi, India. His research interests are the development of a sustainable and ecofriendly technique for natural product extraction, purification, and analysis, plant-mediated synthesis of nanoparticles and their applications, natural polymers, peptide chemistry, microwave and ultrasound assisted organic synthesis, and nanotechnology. His research project is related to utilization of fruit and vegetable pigments for the synthesis of metal nanoparticles: application of as-prepared nanoparticles for remediation of dyes, organic synthesis, and nanomedicine and utilization for dye-sensitized solar cells (DSSCs). Different fellowships are credited to him (GATE, UGC-NET, and JPSC) from the government of India, and he worked as a Faculty Member at different universities of India and Republic of Korea and published more than 50 research articles, patents, and conference papers at the international and national level. He is an active member of different societies like ACS, ISCB, WASET, and IICBEE and also an active Reviewer of more than 30 international journals, including Industrial Crops and Products, Analytical and Bioanalytical Chemistry, and Current Topics in Medicinal Chemistry.
