Yoshito Abe is an Associate Professor at the Graduate School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan. He received his Ph.D. degree in the Kyushu University and worked as a Posdoctoral Fellow at the Biomolecular Engineering Research Institute (BERI), Suita, Japan, and then as an Assistant Professor at the Graduate School of Medical Sciences, Kyushu University. He is interested in the protein function based on the structure. He is engaged in the studies of several proteins regarding invertebrate lysozyme, P2X4 receptor, replication restart primosome, and AL amyloidosis by the use of structural analysis, protein chemistry, and protein engineering methods.
