Marta E. Plonska-Brzezinska

University of Bialystok, Poland

Marta E. Plonska-Brzezinska obtained her Ph.D. degree in electrochemistry from the University of Bialystok (Poland) in 2005. During her postdoctoral fellowship at the Clemson University (USA), she was working on synthesis and electrochemical studies of fullerene derivatives. In 2007, she came back to Poland to study (i) the formation and properties of fullerene and carbon nanostructures based on electroactive materials and (ii) the synthesis of carbon nanoonions derivatives and their potential application in targeting and biosensors. Currently, she is working as an Assistant Professor on the development of new nanocarbon-based materials in electrochemical biosensors and photovoltaics.
