Pramod H. Borse

ARCI, India

Pramod H. Borse, doctorate in physics (nanomaterials) in 1999, is a Senior Scientist working at International Advance Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials (ARCI), India. He is leading a Solar H2 PEC Energy group in ARCI. Presently, he is involved in efficient material processing powders/films for solar energy conversion applications. He is also working on the development of large-area photoelectrodes using simple and economic methodologies. He has nearly 70 publications (international peer-reviewed journals) to his credit. He started the photocatalytic hydrogen generation research since 2003 at Chemical Engineering Department, Pohang University (POSTECH) in South Korea. He developed several efficient photocatalytic materials by theoretical simulation material properties and experimentally demonstrated the achievement. Earlier, in 2001, he was with Synchrotron X-ray Imaging group, where he developed radiation induced nanoparticle deposition on transparent insulating substrates. He did his Ph.D. in the field of nanoparticle phosphor materials, while acquiring expertise in syntheses and characterization during mid-1990s. He has B.S. and M.S. degrees (1987-1992) in physics with specialization in physics of nanomaterials.
