Nobukazu Fujimoto

Nobukazu Fujimoto was born in Tottori, Japan, in 1968. He graduated from the Medical School of Okayama University, Okayama, Japan, in 1994 and received his Ph.D. degree in 2003. Since 1994, he received clinical training for 2 years, and then received intensive clinical oncology training in National Shikoku Cancer Center, Matsuyama, Japan, and Okayama University Hospital. In 2000, he was a Research Fellow at the Saitama Cancer Center Research Institution (Saitama, Japan). From 2003 to 2006, Dr. Fujimoto was a Postdoctoral Fellow of the Department of Thoracic Head and Neck Medical Oncology, University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center, TX. Since 2006, he has been a Submanager of the Department of Respiratory Medicine, Okayama Rosai Hospital, Okayama, Japan. He is mainly interested in thoracic malignancy such as lung cancer and pleural mesothelioma. He is a Board-Certified Member of the Japanese Society of Internal Medicine since 2001, and Diplomate of the Subspecialty Board of Medical Oncology, Japanese Society of Medical Oncology, since 2008. He is also a Member of the Committee for Confirmed Diagnosis of Asbestos-related Diseases in Japan Labour Health and Welfare Organization, sponsored by the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labour, and Welfare.
