Chandrashekar Adiga

Chandrashekar Adiga received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in mathematics from the University of Mysore, Mysore, India, in 1980 and 1984, respectively. He was the Chairman of the Department of Studies in Mathematics, University of Mysore, from 2010 to 2012, where he, currently, serves as a Professor of mathematics. His research interests include number theory, special functions, algebraic graph theory, fixed-point theory, and works of Srinivasa Ramanujan. He has published more than 100 research papers in national and international journals of repute such as Memoirs of American Mathematical Society, Proceedings of American Mathematical Society, International Journal of Number Theory, Linear Algebra and its Applications, Indian Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics, and Proceedings of National Academy of Sciences. He has guided 13 students for their Ph.D. degrees. He has been invited to deliver talks at various international conferences and symposia. He has visited many universities in USA, Korea, Japan, Turkey, Iran, and France. Professor Adiga has received many awards such as Srinivasa Ramanujan Memorial Award by the Indian Mathematical Society and Hardy-Ramanujan Society Award. He is a Life Member of many professional bodies such as Indian Mathematical Society and Ramanujan Mathematical Society. He is on the editorial board of many journals and serves as a Reviewer of Mathematical Reviews at the American Mathematical Society.
