Balaji V. R. received a B.E. degree in electronics and communication engineering from Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India, and an M.E. degree in optical communication from Alagappa Chettiar College of Engineering and Technology, Karaikudi, Tamil Nadu, India, in 2008 and 2010, respectively. Currently V. R. is working towards the Ph.D. degree at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at Valliammai Engineering College, Anna University, Tamil Nadu, India. Currently V. R. is working as an Assistant Professor at the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, St. Joseph’s Institute of Technology, Chennai, Tamil Nadu, India. V. R. is a Life Member of ISTE, New Delhi, India. V. R.’s current research interests are in the areas of optical communication, photonic crystals, photonic integrated circuits, and optical networks. V.
