Mohamed Iqbal Pallipurath is currently Professor and PG Coordinator at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, TKM College of Engineering, Kollam, Kerala, India. Professor Pallipurath studied at TKM College of Engineering where he obtained his engineering degree in mechanical engineering and at IIT Delhi where he received his M. Tech. degree in thermal engineering. His academic interests include gas hydrates and stirling engines. He tries to direct his students towards environmentally benign power generation. His interests run from amateur astronomy to web design with PHP and MySQL. He also dabbles in VB.NET for rapid application development. He plays tennis regularly and has a black belt in karate and an orange belt in judo. He tries to use linux as much as possible and his favorite Linux distro is Mint.
