Yoshifumi Kimura accomplished his M.S. degree from the Kyoto University in 1989, received his Ph.D. degree in 1992 from the Kyoto University, and joined a group of Professor Noboru Hirota (Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University) as an Assistant Professor for 9 years. In 2001, he moved to the International Innovation Center, Kyoto University as an Associate Professor. In 2007, he moved to the Graduate School of Science, Kyoto University again. His recent research projects especially focus on spectroscopic elucidation of molecular dynamics and chemical reaction in designer solvents such as supercritical water and room temperature ionic liquids.
