Cesare Piazza

Cesare Piazza was born in Cremona, Italy, in 1971. He graduated in medicine and surgery in 1996 in Pavia, Italy. He got a Residency Program in Otolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery in Brescia, Italy, from 1997 to 2001. He became a Saff Member in the University of Brescia, Brescia, Italy, in 2002 and serves as Assistant Professor in Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery at the same Institution since 2007. His main fields of interest are represented by head and neck oncology, with special emphasis on laryngology, oral cavity, tracheal surgery, and head and neck reconstruction. He is author or coauthor of more than 50 articles on peer-reviewed journals, more than 50 book chapters, and more than 250 abstracts. He delivered more than 280 lectures/lessons at national and international courses and congresses, mainly in the field of head and neck surgery and reconstruction. He organized more than 25 congresses/courses on related topics in Italy and Europe. He is a reviewer for a number of national and international journals, and is a Member of the Scientific Council of the European Laryngological Society since September 2010. Coeditor with Professor Nicolai for the Head and Neck Oncology issue of the Current Opinion in Otolaryngology & Head and Neck Surgery.
