Lenin Pavón

Lenin Pavón is an immunologist graduate from the Instituto Politécnico Nacional, Mexico City, Mexico. Since 2000, he has been the Head of the Department of Psychoimmunology in the Instituto Nacional de Psiquiatría, Mexico City, Mexico. His work is focused on the study of the neuro-endocrine-immune interactions in stress, major depression, fibromyalgia, schizophrenia, and Alzheimer disease. Professor Pavón has received different awards throughout his professional career; actually, he has published 71 articles in indexed journals and 13 chapters on specialized books. His accumulated work has received more than 1300 citations and he has a Hirsh factor (h) of 17 according to Scopus. He has given more than 100 lectures by invitation at national and international academic events. Currently, he is a guest professor in the postgraduate programs in immunology at the most important universities in his country. He is the author of the book Inmunología Molecular, Celular y Traslacional edited by Wolters Kluwer, used as a textbook along Latin American universities. He is currently the Lead Guest Editor of the Annual Issue "Clinical and Experimental Immunomodulation" Journal of Immunology Research, and he is a Member of the editorial board of different national and international journals and scientific societies.
