Richard Luc Hébert

Richard Luc Hébert received his B.A. degree and B.S. degree from the University of Ottawa and completed his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees at the Université de Sherbrooke. R.L. Hébert undertook his basic science training from 1986 to 1990 at the Division of Nephrology, Vanderbilt University School of Medicine, Nashville, TN, USA. In 1990, he returned to Ottawa as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine for three years and was appointed in the Department of Physiology in 1993. He was a recipient of a Medical Research Council of Canada Scholarship from 1991 to 1996, and his research is currently supported by funds from the Canadian Institutes of Health Research and the Kidney Foundation of Canada since 1990. R.L. Hébert is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American Physiological Society, Canadian Society of Nephrology, the International Society of Nephrology, and the Kidney Research Centre. Since 2000, he has been a Professor in the Department of Cellular and Molecular Medicine and an Assistant Dean, Admissions at the Faculty of Medicine, University of Ottawa.
