XinGuo received his Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical chemistry at the University of California, San Francisco, Calif, USA. He is now an Associate Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutics and Medicinal Chemistry, Thomas J. Long School of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, University of the Pacific, Stockton, Calif, USA. His group carries out research on liposome-based delivery systems for various therapeutic agents including small molecule drugs, nucleic acids, and proteins. He is especially interested in bioresponsive delivery systems including pH-sensitive liposomes and lipoplexes. His research has been supported by funding from the National Institute of Health, the National Science Foundation, and the American Chemical Society. Dr. Guo is an active Member of the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists (AAPS) and serves as the Chair of Bay Area Discussion Group of AAPS.
