Enrico Cagno is Professor of Production Systems Design and Management, and Industrial Plants at the School of Industrial Engineering, Politecnico di Milano, Italy, and Professor in several international and domestic M.S. courses. His primary research interests are risk analysis and management (procurement and supply risk management, project risk management, supply chain risk management, operational risk management, enterprise risk management, occupational safety, system safety, critical infrastructure, and key services protection) and sustainable operations (in particular industrial energy efficiency). He is author of more 250 publications between books and papers. He serves as regular referee for several international peer-reviewed journals. He has promoted, managed, and participated in a large number of research projects. He has worked as Consultant in several projects, ranging from strategic and organizational development to applied research for numerous Italian and Foreign enterprises and administrations. He holds an M.S. degree in management and production engineering and a Ph.D. degree in production system and industrial plant design.
