Elena Dozio

Elena Dozio graduated in medicinal chemistry sciences, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Milan, Milan, Italy, in 2003, and obtained qualification for the profession of pharmacist. In 2004-2005, she served as a Visiting Scientist at the Protein Structure Factory, Max Planck Institute for Molecular Genetics, Berlin, Germany. In 2007 she received her Ph.D. degree in endocrinology and metabolic sciences at the Institute of Endocrinology, University of Milan. From 2008, Dr. Dozio performed her postdoctoral training in the Chair of Clinical Pathology, Department of Biomedical Science for Health, University of Milan. In 2016 she obtained specialization in nutritional sciences at the University of Milan. Since 2016 Dr. Dozio has worked as an Assistant Professor of clinical pathology in the Department of Biomedical Science for Health. She is a Delegate Member of the Italian Society of Pathology and Translational Medicine. She has experience of basic, translational, and clinical studies. She is interested in obesity and obesity-related cardiometabolic diseases, with a great interest in epicardial adipose tissue pathophysiology and identification of new cardiovascular biomarkers.
