Gianluigi de Gennaro, researcher in environmental chemistry at the Department of Chemistry, University of Bari, is a Professor of environmental chemistry and analytical chemistry. His scientific work is guided by the study of phenomena affecting the air quality, the integrated cycle of waste, and methodological aspects for the evaluation of the environmental sustainability of processes and products. He is the Founder and Chief Technical and Scientific Spin off of the University of Bari, “LEnviroS” which deals with environmental services with added value. The goal of the spin off is to make available the expertise developed at the University of the territory. The team experimented with innovative models of management focusing on achievement of personal dreams. He is a Coordinator of the Group of Italian Chemical Society Interdivisional of “Science and Technology of Aerosol,” working with leading public research institutions on issues related to air pollution and is contributing to the drafting of several projects as a Consultant for the management of air quality. He is a Project Leader of the Network of Laboratories, called "VOC and odor" (Evaluation of emissions of volatile organic compounds and odorous impacts of products from new materials and new technologies for production systems) and the Strategic Project “SIMPA” (System Integrated monitoring of particulate pollution). He is the Evaluator for the Ministry of Economic Development of technological innovation projects FIT - REACH Regulation and cooperates with international scientific journals as a Referee and Member of scientific committees of numerous conferences and schools organized by national and international scientific societies.
