Philip Marren

Philip Marren serves as a Fluvial Geomorphologist and Sedimentologist with research interests covering a diverse range of physical environments. These include high magnitude flooding, the response of glacial rivers to climate change, and the processes of channel change. He obtained an M.S. degree in hydrology for environmental management from Imperial College London and a Ph.D. degree from Keele University in the UK. He has since held postdoctoral positions at the University of the Witwatersrand, South Africa, and the University of British Columbia, Canada. At present, he works as a Lecturer of physical geography at the University of Melbourne, Australia.
