J. Joaquin Escudero-Garzas

J. Joaquin Escudero-Garzás received the Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University Carlos III, Madrid, Spain, in February 2010. From 1997 to 2002, he worked for Union Fenosa and Jazztel as a Provisioning Engineer and as the Head of the Telecommunications Network Maintenance Department. In 2002, he joined University Carlos III as Assistant Lecturer, where he has given more than twelve courses related to telecommunication systems and wired/wireless communications. He also participated in several competitive Spanish national and European projects and was a Guest Researcher at the Communications and Remote Sensing Laboratory, Université Catholique de Louvain, Belgium, from March to August 2008. Since October 2010, he has been a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Department of Telecommunications and Systems Engineering of the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, Spain. His main interests are optimization and game theory-based techniques applied to smart grid and communication systems.
