Ammar Sharaiha

Ammar Sharaiha received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees from the University of Rennes 1, Rennes, France, in 1981 and 1984, respectively. In 1989, he joined the Ecole Nationale d'Ingénieurs de Brest (ENIB), Plouzané, France, as Associate Professor. He is currently Full Professor since 2001 at ENIB and Head of Group Research in Photonics, Optoelectronics and Telecoms in UMR CNRS 6285 Lab-STICC. His main research interests cover 100Gb/s optical transmission systems, 60 GHz RoF applications, all-optical processing, and applications using semiconductor optical amplifiers.
