Xiao-wei Gao

Professor Xiaowei Gao earned his Ph.D. degree from the University of Glasgow in 1999. He worked at the Arizona State University from 1999 to 2001, worked at Zona Technology in US from 2001 to 2005. From October 2005, He worked at Southeastern University in China. Gao started to work at Dalian University of Technology in later 2008 as the associate dean of the School of Aeronautics and Astronautics. Prof. Gao’s main research interest is in the computational methods in engineering. He served as the principal investigator for more than 30 research projects sponsored by NASA, National Significant Project of China, National Natural Science Foundation of China, and Aeronautics Research Institutes of China. He authored or co-authored 1 monograph and more than 150 journal papers? Research Area and Achievements: (1)Boundary integral equation methods for solving non-homogeneous and non-linear problems. (2)Simultaneous Elimination and Back-Substitution Technique for solving linear equation sets. (3)Thermal-mechanical coupled structural multi-size computations.
