Jayanth Chandran

Jayanth Chandran received his Ph.D. degree from the National Institutes of Health, Johns Hopkins University, investigating the molecular mechanisms underpinning Parkinson's disease and motor neuron disease, before joining the University of Edinburgh as a Postdoctoral Fellow, where he has looked at the role of Disc1-mediated Wnt signaling in mental illness. He has now joined the University of Sheffield (SITRAN) as a Senior Fellow looking at using gene therapy to ameliorate motor neuron disease. His areas of interest are motor neuron disease, Parkinson's disease, neural stem cells, and Wnt signaling.
