U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, USA

Peter P. Egeghy is an Environmental Health Scientist at the US Environmental Protection Agency’s National Exposure Research Laboratory. His research primarily addresses the need for rapid screening and prioritization of manufactured chemicals based on potential for human exposure through the development of novel approaches for accelerated exposure assessment and publicly accessible exposure databases. His research also involves the application of exposure assessment techniques using advanced statistical methods to investigate the determinants of exposure and to evaluate factors that contribute to observed exposure variability. Dr. Egeghy currently serves as an Expert Panel Member for the International Life Sciences Institute’s Risk Assessment in the 21st Century initiative. Dr. Egeghy obtained a Ph.D. degree in environmental sciences and engineering from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, NC, USA, and an M.P.H. from the University of California, Berkeley, Calif, USA. He recently served as a Research Fellow with the US EPA’s National Center for Computational Toxicology.
