Sergey Shilko

Was born on February 27, 1959 in the city of Bryansk (Russia). Graduated from Institute of Transport Engineering in 1982 with honour. The same year joined Metal-Polymer Research Institute of Belarussian Academy of Sciences in Gomel and since 2004 has been a Head of Department "Mechanics of Adaptive Materials and Biomechanics" of Metal-Polymer Research Institute. Grant of President Belarus, 2007; Int. Grant of Acad. Koptyug, 2011. Supervisor and co-leader of some national and international research projects (fundamental and applied investigations). Scientific interests are in modeling and testing of materials (mainly, polymer adaptive and biocompatible composites), biomechanics, tribology. Author of 420 publications, including 11 books, 160 journal papers, 40 patents and softwares. Member of Int. Editorial Board of Russian Journal of Biomechanics. Member of European Society of Biomechanics. Biography is being included in the 27th edition of Who's Who in the World, 2010.
