Changyou Gao

Changyou Gao graduated from the Department of Chemistry, Jilin University, Jilin, USA, receiving his B.S. (1990), M.S. (1993), and Ph.D. degrees in polymer chemistry and physics (1996). From 1996 to 1998, he worked at the Department of Polymer Science and Engineering at the Zhejiang University, Hangzhou, Zhejiang, China, as a Postdoctoral Fellow. He was appointed as a Full Professor of materials science at the Zhejiang University in 2001 and a Cheung Kong Scholar of Ministry of Education of China in 2008. He is a Principle Investigator of some national projects such as the Natural Science Foundation of China and the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars of China and a Coinvestigator of Basic Research Program of China (973 project). He has published more than 190 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 1 book, and 3 book chapters and more than 30 authorized patents. His research interests include biomaterials for tissue engineering and regenerative medicine, colloids, and nanobiomaterials.
