Willi McFarland

William C. Mcfarland holds both the M.D. and Ph.D. degrees. He is an Associate Professor of epidemiology and biostatistics at Global Health Sciences Department, University of California, San Francisco, Calif, USA. He is also appointed to the Center for AIDS Prevention Studies (CAPS). He is also the Director of the HIV Epidemiology Section at the San Francisco Department of Public Health. By training, he has studied preventive medicine and also epidemiology. He is the Codirector for development at CAPS and the Codirector of the NIH-sponsored Traineeship in AIDS Prevention Studies and also the training for scholars from Africa and the Middle East. His major focus is on risky behaviors, IDUs, and HIV in Africa and the Middle East.
