Kanokwan Jarukamjorn got the Ph.D. degree in pharmaceutical sciences from Graduate School of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Toyama, Toyama, Japan, in 2001, in the field of xenobiotic and drug metabolism emphasizing regulation of cytochrome P450 expression. During 2001-2002, Dr. Jarukamjorn got a postdoctoral fellowship from Technology Grant Southeast Asia, to work on extraction and simultaneous determination of mycotoxins, macrocyclic trichothecenes, and their metabolites, using HPLC-MS, at University of Innsbruck, Austria, and during 2004-2005, Dr. Jarukamjorn was a postdoctoral candidate of the Tokyo Biochemical Research Foundation, Japan, to work as a Senior Researcher at Department of Toxicology, University of Toyama, Japan, focusing on regulatory mechanism of cytochrome P450s by endocrine hormones including growth, glucocorticoid, and adrenal hormones, and herbal medicines. Presently, Dr. Jarukamjorn is a permanent academic staff of Faculty of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Khon Kaen University (KKU), Thailand, and the Deputy Director of the Northeast Laboratory Animal Center, KKU. In addition, Dr. Jarukamjorn actively functions as the Chairman of the Board of Animal Ethic Committee for Use and Care of KKU. He was granted two Nagai Awards for Outstanding Pharmaceutical Sciences Research in the fiscal years of 2008 and 2011.
