Fayçal Ben Hmida

Fayçal Ben Hmida was born on September 16, 1966, in Sfax, Tunisia. In 1992, Hmida obtained the M.S. degree in automatic and informatics at the Aix-Marseille III University, France, and a Ph.D. in manufacturing and informatics at the same university in 1997. Since 1998, Hmida has joined the School of Sciences and Techniques at Tunis (ESSTT) University as an Assistant Professor. Hmida has obtained the HDR degree in electrical engineering at ESSTT University of Tunis in 2011. Now, Hmida is a Professor in High National Engineering School of Tunis (ENSIT), University of Tunis, and a Member in Research Laboratory of Engineering of Industrial Systems and Renewable Energy (LISIER) at ENSIT, where the main research interests are fault detection and isolation (FDI), robust estimation by sliding mode observer, unknown input filtering (UIF), robust filtering, and fault tolerant control (FTC).
