Satoru Miyano

Satoru Miyano received his D.S. degree from Kyushu University, Fukuoka, Japan, in 1984. He is a Professor at the Human Genome Center of the Institute of Medical Science at the University of Tokyo. He is the Editor-in-Chief of Genome Informatics and an Editor or Associate Editor of the journals Bioinformatics, Journal of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology, PLoS Computational Biology, Lecture Notes in Bioinformatics, IEEE/ACM Transactions on Computational Biology and Bioinformatics, Theoretical Computer Science, and New Generation Computing. His research interests are bioinformatics, computational biology, genome informatics, and discovery science. His awards include the IBM Science Award and the Sakai Special Award. He has over 130 peer-reviewed publications.
