Baocang Ding

Baocang Ding was born in Hebei Province of China. He received an M.S. degree from the China University of Petroleum, Beijing, China, in 2000, and a Ph.D. degree from Shanghai Jiaotong University, Shanghai, China, in 2003. From September 2005 till September 2006, he worked as a Postdoc Research Fellow at the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering, University of Alberta, Edmonton, AB, Canada. From November 2006 till August 2007, he served as a Research Fellow at the School of EEE, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore. From September 2003 to August 2007, he worked as an Associate Professor at Hebei University of Technology, Tianjin, China. From September 2007 to December 2008, Ding worked as a Professor at Chongqing University, Chongqing, China. Now, he is a Professor at Xi’an Jiaotong University, Xi’an, Shaanxi, China. His research interests include model predictive control, stability of fuzzy control, networked control systems, and distributed control systems. Ding was the recipient of the 2009 Program for the New Century Excellent Talents from the University of China.
