Mahesh Kumar

Mahesh Kumar has received M. Tech degree in solid state materials from IIT Delhi and Ph.D. degree in engineering from IISc Bangalore. He has worked at Central Research Laboratory of Bharat Electronics Ltd., Bangalore, as a member (research staff) from 2005 to 2013. During his stint at CRL-BEL, he worked on industry-academia collaboration that involved CRL-BEL and Materials Research Centre, Indian Institute of Science Bangalore. He was on full time deputation at MRC-IISc during his job at CRL-BEL. He was involved as a team member in the establishment of molecular beam epitaxy and device processing facilities (clean room, lithography, etching, metallization, etc.) at MRC-IISc Bangalore. He was also involved in the establishment of various characterization facilities like FESEM, CL, FIB, UHV STM/AFM, HRXRD, and PL facilities at MRC-IISc. His research work is focused on development of wide band semiconductors like Group III- nitride and ZnO materials for LEDs, sensors, solar cells, and high speed devices. He has published forty-eight research papers in peer-reviewed journals and fifteen papers were presented in international conferences. Currently, he is working at the Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technology, IIT Jodhpur, as an Assistant Professor.
