Kanya Honoki received an M.D. degree at Nara Medical University, Japan in 1987 and a Ph.D. degree at Graduate School of Nara Medical University, Japan in 1994. He had a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Thomas Jefferson University, Philadelphia, USA. from 1994 till 1995. In 2002, he received a Visiting Fellowship at St. Jude Children?s Research Hospital, Memphis, USA. Besides, he received a Master of Medical Science (clinical epidemiology) at the University of Newcastle, Australia in 2006. He is expertized in basic and clinical orthopedic oncology, cancer cell biology, stem cell biology, and regenerative and restorative medicine. He is an Active Member of both American and European Association for Cancer Research and International Society for Stem Cell Research, an editorial board member and reviewer of several international society and journals including European Science Foundation, PLos One, British Journal of Cancer, Cancer Chemotherapy and Pharmacology, Cell Biology International, Rare Tumors, Open Tissue Engineering and Regenerative Medicine. Currently, he is working as a Chief of Orthopedic Oncology Unit at Nara Medical University, Department of Orthopedic Surgery.
