Ismail Oran

Ismail Oran was born in 1967; he graduated from Faculty of Medicine, Hacettepe University, Ankara, Turkey. He had Radiology Residency (1991-1996) at Ege University, Izmir, Turkey. He has worked as Consultant Radiologist (1996-2000) at Ege University, Division of Interventional Radiology, Izmir, Turkey; as an Assistant Professor of Radiology (2000-2002); and as Professor of Radiology from 2008 till now at the same university. He is a Member of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiological Society of Europe (CIRSE); World Federation of Interventional and Therapeutic Neuroradiology (WFITN); European Society of Neuroradiology (ESNR); Turkish Society of Radiology; Turkish Society of Neuroradiology; and Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology. Dr. Oran has been the Head of Interventional Radiology Division since 2009, Department of Radiology, Medical School, Ege University, Izmir, Turkey. He currently holds the EBIR (European Board of Interventional Radiology) position. He was the Past President of Turkish Society of Interventional Radiology (2011-2013) and has spent most of his time in the field of neurovascular angiography and interventional neuroradiology since 2000.
