Dr. Minyong Li is a professor at Department of Chemistry, School of Pharmacy, Shandong University, China. He received his BS and PhD degrees from China Pharmaceutical University in 1999 and in 2005, respectively. He began his academic career in 2005 with Dr. Binghe Wang at Department of Chemistry, Georgia State University as postdoctoral research associate. From 2007 to 2009, he was a research assistant professor at Department of Chemistry, Georgia State University. In 2009, he moved to his current institution as a professor of medicinal chemistry. His research interests are in the general areas of medicinal chemistry and chemical biology. He has published about 70 peer-reviewed papers, and received SCOPUS Young Scientist Award and Huashi Young Scientist Award for Marine Drug Research in 2009 as well as Shandong Outstanding Young Scientist Award in 2010.
