Andrés E. Piatti

Andrés E. Piatti currently serves as a Full Astronomer Member at the National Council of Scientific and Technological Researches (CONICET), Buenos Aires, Argentina. Dr. Piatti graduated from Córdoba National University in 1992, Córdoba, Argentina. He obtained his Doctor of Astronomy degree in 1996. He was an Associate Professor at the Córdoba Astronomical Observatory, Córdoba, Argentina, from 1994 to 2000, and worked as a freelance Professor since 2013. In addition, Dr. Piatti has published more than two hundred scientific articles about the fundamental properties of star clusters, the formation and chemical evolution of galaxies, and calibrations of astrophysical parameters, among others. He has also published a handful of books. Since 2007, he has acted as an Editorial Secretary of the Argentine Astronomical Society (AAA) Bulletin. Dr. Piatti was a Member of the AAA Committee from 1993 to 2006. He has also advised several undergraduate and Ph.D. researches, acted at different organizing committees, and gave numerous conferences. He was awarded by different scientific institutions. Dr. Piatti is currently a Full Member at the Astronomical Observatory of the Córdoba National University, Córdoba, Argentina.
