Pauline Deutz is currently a Lecturer at the Department of Geography, Environment and Earth Science at the University of Hull, Kingston upon Hull, UK. She has a multidisciplinary background with a B.A. degree in geography from the University of Oxford, an M.A. degree in climatology from Ohio State University, and a Ph.D. degree in geology from the University of California, USA. Her research takes an interdisciplinary approach to environmental issues, primarily relating to resource management, including industrial symbiosis, eco-design, sustainable economic development, and environmental justice. She devised and led the M.S. degree in environmental technology, within which her waste management module is accredited by the Chartered Institution of Wastes Management. Pauline sits on the UK national committee of the International Solid Waste Association, and she is the Vice President of the International Sustainable Development Research Society.
