Being-Sun Wung

Being-Sun Wung, male, was born in Chiayi, Taiwan, 1963. He received the B.S. degree from Agronomy Department, National Taiwan University in 1986. After two-year service in army as a Second Lieutenant, he decided to switch and focus his study on biomedical science. Then, he got his M.S. degrees in biological science from Fairleigh Dickinson University, NJ, USA, in 1991. He worked in Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan, as a Research Assistant from 1991 to 1994. After that he got his Ph.D. degree in the Graduate Institute of Life Sciences, National Defense Medical Center, Taiwan in 1998. During 1998–2001, he was a Postdoctoral Research Fellow in the Cardiovascular Division Institute of Biomedical Science Academia Sinica, Taipei, Taiwan. He joined the Faculty of Microbiology and Immunology Department at National Chiayi University as an Assistant Professor in 2001. Since 2006 till now, he is an Associate Professor. His research interests are in the areas of vascular biology, gene regulation, and oxidative stress. He is a Member of the Pharmacological Society in Taiwan and a Member of the Editorial Board of World Journal of Gastrointestinal Pharmacology and Therapeutics.
