Mohd Syaifudin Abdul Rahman

Mohd Syaifudin Abdul Rahman works as a Senior Research Officer at the Malaysian Agriculture Research and Development Institute (MARDI), Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. He obtained his B.E. degree with honors from the University of Leeds, Leeds, UK, in 1998, and he received his M.E. degree with honors from Massey University, Palmerston North, New Zealand, in 2009; moreover, he got his Ph.D. degree in electronics from the School of Engineering and Advanced Technology (SEAT), Massey University, in 2012. From 1998 to 2002, Abdul Rahman worked almost 4 years as an Instrument Engineer with Rohm-Wako Electronics Company, Malaysia. In 2003, he joined MARDI and worked as a Research Officer with the Mechanization and Automation Research Centre. His interests include electromagnetic sensors and biosensors. He is currently involved in the development of smart sensing system for food inspection. Abdul Rahman has published 3 book chapters, 10 journal articles, and over 30 conference proceedings. He is also a Graduate Member of the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) and the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM). He is, furthermore, a Graduate Student Member of the IEEE.
