Han Chae graduated from the School of Korean Medicine, Kyunghee University, Seoul, Republic of Korea, in 1995, and received the Ph.D. degree from the same university in 2003 in addition to the M.D. degree in traditional medicine in Korea. He has been a Diplomate in acupuncture at the NCCAOM, Jacksonville, FL, USA. Chae has been a Research Fellow at the Korea Institute of Oriental Medicine, Deajeon, Republic of Korea, Harvard Medical School, Boston, MA, USA, and Cleveland Clinic Foundation, Cleveland, OH, USA, from 2000 to 2006, and an Instructor at the College of Oriental Medicine, Daegu Haany University, Daegu, Republic of Korea, from 2007 to 2008. Currently, Chae is an Professor at the School of Korean Medicine, Pusan National University, Busan, Republic of Korea. The major focus of research is the scientific foundation of Sasang typology and its clinical use. And the education of traditional medicine is his another major interest.
