Mafu Akier Assanta

Mafu Akier Assanta holds the D.V.M., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees. He is a research scientist of food safety at Food Research and Development Centre, Government of Canada, QC, Canada. He is a Professor of food hygiene at the Faculty of Veterinary Medecine, University of Lubumbashi (DRCongo). His research expertise and capabilities include optimization of methods to control the microbial flora and ensure food hygiene, development of methods to evaluate the contamination of surfaces in contact with food, food safety, and microbiological quality, adhesion of food pathogens, biofilm formation, natural antimicrobial agents, resistance of pathogens to sanitizing agents, agrifood microbiology, and hygien and biosecurity of food and molecular biology.
