Christophe Waterlot

Laboratoire Génie Civil et géoEnvironnement (LGCgE), France

Christophe Waterlot received the Ph.D. degree in organic and macromolecular chemistry from Université of Lille 1, Lille, France. Waterlot specializes in organic chemistry and analytical chemistry, and he is currently working at Université Lille Nord de France, Lille, France. He is teaching general and organic chemistry and the analytical techniques used to determine organic and metal pollutants. His research interests include the synthesis and properties of redox polymer applied to the reduction of dissolved oxygen in water, the environmental availability of metals and metalloids present in contaminated soils (risk assessment), and the mobilization of metals and metalloids using mineral or organic amendments. He is an author of more than 40 publications in refereed journals; in 20 of them, he was the first author, and he served as a Reviewer for more than 20 journals of relevance in environmental and soil science and organic chemistry and polymer and for evaluation agencies (Agence Nationale pour la Recherche (ANR)). Waterlot is, moreover, an Editorial Member for the ISRN Environmental Chemistry Journal.
