Sachin L. Badole completed his Ph.D. degree in the Faculty of Pharmacy, Poona College of Pharmacy, Bharati Vidyapeeth University, Pune, India. He worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow at Nephrology and Retinopathy Unit, Medical Sciences Faculty, University of Campinas, Campinas, SP, Brazil, from 15 December 2010 to 8 April 2011, and further served as an Assistant Professor, Pharmacology Department, PES's Modern College of Pharmacy, Pune India. Currently, he is working at BSL-4 Laboratory, Maximum Containment Laboratory, National Institute of Virology, Sus Road, Pashan, Pune, India. His areas of research are in the field of preclinical and relevant studies employing different animal paradigms, pharmacology, and virology. He has studied both in vivo and in vitro pharmacological action especially in the fields of diabetes, hypertension, inflammation, arthritis, safety and efficacy, toxicity, pancreatic regeneration, and isolated compounds from plants. He has standardized a model of streptozotocin-nicotinamide-induced diabetes in Swiss Albino mice for type 2 diabetes. Using predominantly different models of diabetes and immunocytochemistry, he has studied the antidiabetic activity of bioactive compounds and also the mechanism of action of certain antidiabetic agents. Badole also participated in industrial projects. In addition, he has published 30 research papers in peer-reviewed international journals, 1 accepted and 5 communicated. He has published 28 book chapters in Elsevier Press and Springer and Business media partner. He is a Reviewer of Life Science, European Journal of Integrative medicine, BMC complementary and Alternative Medicine Journal, and so forth.
