Mario Ferrari obtained his degree in mechanical engineering with honors at the University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, in 2003. He obtained the Ph.D. degree in mechanical engineering from the same university in 2006. He has worked as an Associate Researcher at the Dipartimento di Macchine, Sistemi Energetici e Trasporti, University of Genoa, Genoa, Italy, and as a Researcher at Rolls-Royce Fuel Cell Systems Ltd., under the Marie-Curie Program. At the moment, he is a Permanent Researcher at the Dipartimento di Ingegneria Meccanica, Energetica, della Produzione, e dei Trasporti (DIME), University of Genoa, where he is studying the transient behavior of SOFC hybrid cycles and the optimization of distributed generation systems at the TPG Laboratory of Savona. He is author of more than 30 international publications.
