Biagio Ricceri

Biagio Ricceri was born in Catania, Italy, in 1955. He received the Mathematics degree (summa cum laude) from the University of Catania in 1979. From 1980 to 1983, he got a fellowship from the Italian National Research Council. In 1983, he became an Assistant Professor at the University of Catania. In 1986, he won a national competition for Full Professor and served in this role at the University of Messina from 1987 to 1997. Since 1997, he serves as a Professor of mathematical analysis at the University of Catania. Since 1993 (when he founded it), he is the Editor-in-Chief of the international journal Set-Valued Analysis (Set-Valued and Variational Analysis since 2009). He also serves in the Editorial Boards of the following journals: Nonlinear Analysis, Journal of Convex Analysis, Journal of Nonlinear and Convex Analysis, Taiwanese Journal of Mathematics, Fixed Point Theory, Journal of Nonlinear Analysis and Optimization, Journal of Nonlinear Functional Analysis and Differential Equations, JP Journal of Fixed Point Theory and Applications, Advances in Theoretical and Applied Mathematics, Canadian Journal of Pure and Applied Sciences. His current research fields are nonlinear analysis, set-valued analysis and minimax theory.
