Dr. Ying-Yong Zhao has been Associate Professor of pharmacology, the College of Life Sciences at the Northwest University at China since 2007. He is a reviewer of more than 20 famous international journals including Clinica Chimica Acta, Analyst, Natural Products Research, Bioanalysis, etc. in the area of phytochemical analysis, pharmacology, pharmacokinetic and metabonomics. He is also a reviewer of the National Scientific Foundation of China. Zhao has authored more than 70 peer-reviewed publications, three books, and four patents. He received several awards including National Excellent Doctoral Dissertation Nomination Award from Ministry of Education of the People’s Republic of China in 2012, The Pharmaceutical Society of China Award for Young Scientists in 2012 (Sanofi Young biological drugs Award) and The Pharmacological Society of China Award for Young Scientists in 2011 (Fifteenth SERVIER Youth Pharmacology Worker Award). His areas of expertise include structural elucidation of chemical components, phytochemical components analysis by UPLC-MS/MS, RRLC-MS/MS, and UPLC-Q-TOF/MS, pharmacokinetic, pharmacology and metabonomics from medicinal fungi.
