Sandip Kumar Dhara

Indira Gandhi Centre for Atomic Research, India

Sandip Dhara, holder of a Ph.D. degree from the National Physical Laboratory, New Delhi, India is an Accomplished Researcher in the area of nanomaterials, in particular in the novel synthesis of semiconducting nanomaterials and detailed investigation of their optical properties. His work has led to early understanding of formation of homo- and heterojunction in III-V nitrides useful for nanoelectronics in the one-dimensional nanostructures. Currently, he is involved in the development of nanomaterials for advanced sensor applications. Dhara has had successful collaborations with the prestigious Institute of Atomic and Molecular Science and Center for Condensed Matter Science, Taipei, Taiwan. He was affiliated with Institute of Innovations and Advanced Studies, Electrical Engineering Department, National Cheng Kung University, Tainan Taiwan as visiting Associate Professor. He has been invited to many international conferences including chairing in the International Conference of Ion Beam and Nanomaterials, Mexico, 2009. Dhara is very Active Scientist, who has published more than 75 peer-reviewed journal papers and 50 international conference articles.
