Samuel N. Jator

Dr. Samuel Jator currently serves as the Chair of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Austin Peay State University (APSU), where he has been a Professor of Mathematics now for 20 years. He received his Ph.D. in Mathematics with a specialty in Numerical Analysis from the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria in 1997. In 2006, he also received an M.B.A with a concentration in Accounting from the University of Phoenix. Dr. Jator has published more than 70 articles in peer reviewed journals. He is a member of the appropriate professional and Honorary Societies and has given several invited talks at national and international conferences. He is the 2013 Recipient of APSU's Distinguished Undergraduate Mentor Award and the 2009 Recipient of APSU's Richard M. Hawkins Award for Excellence in Scholarly and Creative Achievement. He is currently doing research in the areas of Numerical Analysis, Mathematical Biology, Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations, Financial Mathematics, and Predictive Analytics.
