Arnaud Poterszman

Institut de Génétique et de Biologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire, France

Arnaud Poterszman studied biochemistry at the École Normale Supérieure de Cachan (Paris, France) and obtained his Ph.D. degree in structural biology at Strasbourg University. He is working as Research Director at the Department of Integrated Structural Biology in IGMBC (Illkirch, France). His current fields of research encompass molecular biology, biochemistry, and biophysics as well as structural biology, in particular X-ray crystallography and cryoelectron microscopy. His work is centered on the transcription/DNA repair factor TFIIH, as a paradigm of macromolecular assembly in the control of gene expression and maintenance of genome integrity. In parallel, he develops and implements innovative technologies for characterization of material from endogenous sources and production of recombinant complexes to facilitate research on multiprotein assemblies.
