Yongping Li

Yongping Li got her M.A.S. and Ph.D. degrees from the Environmental Systems Engineering Program at the University of Regina, Regina, SK, Canada. Currently she works as the Associate Dean and Professor of Sino-Canada Resources and Environmental Research Academy at the North China Electric Power University, Baoding, China. She has established a solid research background and experience in mathematical modeling for environmental systems engineering. She is active in many international forums of environmental engineering and management. She has completed over 30 projects related to environmental management and risk assessment for industries, governments, and international organizations. Dr. Li developed integrated modeling systems for supporting resources and environmental management. Recently, she is acting as the principal for several Chinese and international resources and environmental research projects. She produced over 150 peer-refereed journal articles. Over 130 papers were published in international SCI journals, with many of them attracting attentions from worldwide peers. She is the Associate Editor of Journal of Environmental Informatics (International Society for Environmental Information Sciences, ISEIS) and Editor of Environmental Systems Research (Springer). With her unique influence in this discipline, she is appointed as the Chair of Technical Commission of Decision Sciences and Operational Research of ISEIS. As Guest Editor, Dr. Li also successfully edited three special issues for Petroleum Science and Technology, Journal of Environmental Informatics, and Stochastic Environmental Research and Risk Assessment.
