Wei-Bo Zhang

Wei‐bo Zhang graduated from the China Oceanography University, Qingdao, China, in 1983 and then pursued the M.S. degree from the Institute of Biophysics, China Academy of Sciences, Beijing, China, in 1987, followed by the Ph.D. degree from the Beijing Polytechnic University, Beijing, China, in 1998. He has worked at the Institute of Acupuncture & Moxibustion, China Academy of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Beijing, China, since 1988, and he became a professor in 1999. Thus, he is currently a Professor of acupuncture and meridian research at the China Academy of Chinese Medical Sciences, Beijing, China, supervisor of Ph.D. degree students, and a leader of discipline. Zhang published 100 papers formally in journals among which 20 papers were published on SCI or EI journals. He also published 6 books in China, Taiwan, and Republic of Korea. Zhang is engaged in biophysical study of acupuncture and meridians and development of clinic technique in acupuncture. He obtained 10 patents, received 10 awards home and abroad, and is leading seven national research projects.
